Social media moderation, automated and explained
Insults, spam and scams pile up under your posts, at every hour of the day. OpenModeration hides them automatically according to your rules, across all your accounts at once, and states in writing why each comment was removed.

What OpenModeration does on each network
One console and the same rules for all your accounts. The action taken depends on what each platform allows.
Comments on your Page posts are analysed as soon as they arrive. Those that break your rules are hidden automatically.
Comments on your Instagram posts are analysed the same way and hidden when they break your rules.
YouTube
Every comment on your videos is published, held for review or rejected, directly through the YouTube API.
WordPress
Comments on your site are approved, held for moderation or marked as spam, with no plugin to build.
Four steps, zero lines of code
- 1
Connect your accounts
Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or WordPress connect in a few clicks, with no developer needed.
- 2
Write your rules
Your moderation policy in plain language, banned words and a threshold for each category. A balanced preset lets you start right away.
- 3
The AI applies your rules
Anything that clearly breaks your rules is hidden, acceptable comments stay online, and our team handles the borderline cases. You see every decision in real time and can step in at any moment.
- 4
Every decision is explained
A written reason accompanies every decision, automated or human, and stays in the audit trail.
Content text
Activity history
The comment promotes a scam contest and contains an external phishing or promo link.
Why a dedicated tool beats native filters
Context, not just keywords
A blocked-words list misses sarcasm, disguised insults and well-crafted scams. AI models read the whole sentence and judge it against your moderation policy.
One console for all your accounts
No more jumping from one network to another: decisions on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and your website all appear in the same console, in real time.
Decisions you can justify
Every removed comment keeps its rule and its written reason. If a follower disputes it, you know what to tell them, and the audit trail is ready for the DSA.
We set it up and run it for you
Just connect your pages: our team sets up the moderation on your rules and use cases, then runs it day to day. Doubtful cases and reports are handled by us, and you can step in whenever you want.
We set up your rules for you
Our team starts from your existing rules, your use cases and your real comments, sets the moderation up, then fine-tunes it over the first weeks. No work on your side.
Our team handles the doubtful cases
Doubtful cases, user reports and contested decisions are handled by our team. The system learns from every decision and proposes adjustments to your rules, which you approve in one click.
A test without risk
In sandbox mode, OpenModeration analyses your real comments and shows what it would have decided, without hiding or deleting anything.
Social media moderation: frequently asked questions
Which social networks can OpenModeration moderate?
Websites, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and WordPress natively. TikTok, X, LinkedIn and other networks are added on request, quickly. For any other source, you can send content through the REST API or webhooks.
Do I need to code to moderate my social media with OpenModeration?
No. You connect your accounts and tell us your rules: we take care of the rest, including borderline cases, and you see every decision in real time in the console. The API is only useful if you want to plug in an in-house platform.
Are comments deleted or hidden?
On Facebook and Instagram, comments that break your rules are hidden. On YouTube, they are rejected or held for review. On WordPress, they are held for moderation or marked as spam. In every case, the decision and its reason stay in the audit trail.
How much does a social media moderation tool like OpenModeration cost?
The free plan covers up to 1,000 comments analysed per month, roughly 30 a day. The Pro plan costs €99 per month for 10,000 comments, or we size an offer to your volumes, with setup and our team included. On-premise deployment is possible on request.
Where is the data hosted?
OpenModeration is built and hosted in the European Union and complies with the GDPR. You can also install it on your own infrastructure.
