Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Logora ("we", "our", or "us") operates the OpenModeration platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our self-hosted software or our managed cloud service.
Self-Hosted Deployment
When you deploy OpenModeration on your own infrastructure, we have zero access to your data. All content, moderation results, API keys, and configuration remain entirely on your servers. Your data never touches our systems.
Cloud Service (SaaS)
When you use our managed cloud service, we process:
- Account information: email address, name, billing details.
- Content submitted for moderation: text sent to the moderation API. Stored according to your configured data retention policy (default 7 days).
- Moderation results: provider responses, scores, and decisions. Retained for audit trail purposes.
- Usage data: request volume, latency, provider usage. Aggregated and anonymized for service improvement.
Data Retention
You control data retention. Configure `input_text_days` and `logs_days` in your OpenModeration.yaml. Default: 7 days for input text, 90 days for logs.
Data Security
- All API traffic uses TLS 1.3 encryption in transit.
- Provider API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest.
- Content text is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
- API keys are hashed with SHA-256 in the database.
Third-Party Providers
When you use BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys), content is sent to your chosen provider (OpenAI, Azure, etc.) for moderation. Their privacy policies apply to that processing. When you use platform-managed keys, Logora sends content to providers on your behalf.
